Student Projects

The Sanford School’s first-year Master of Public Policy students work in teams during the spring semester to complete consulting projects for North Carolina and international clients. Clients have included government agencies and nonprofits, such as the N.C. Highway Patrol, Ten Thousand Villages, the Triangle Transit Authority and the N.C. Department of Health and Human Services.

Search our database for policy-relevant research reports produced from 2001 through the present. Selected papers are available online in their entirety as PDF files. Others are executive summaries of the final reports. To obtain papers listed in the database but not posted online, please contact Sanford School Resource Room Manager Anne Fletcher at 919-613-9379 or anne.fletcher@duke.edu

For information on becoming a client, please contact James D. Johnson, professor of the practice of public policy, at jimj@duke.edu
