For summer 2010, the program will offer students the option of directly enrolling in one or more of the intensive weeklong courses for academic credit (without the internship component of the program).
All courses will run over the course of one week: Monday - Friday, 9am to 5pm. Participants with multiple policy interests are welcome to register for more than one course. Click on individual course titles for descriptions, dates, instructor bios, etc.
Completion of one weeklong intensive course with an associated research project submitted to the course instructor by August 1, 2010 will enable the student to earn 2.0 credits/per course through the Duke University Graduate School. After the participants have fulfilled all course requirements they may request an official Duke transcript.
Participants only taking part in the course and not the full program will be invited to all other program events (lectures, networking opportunities, social outings) occuring during the course week. Program staff will also provide assistance for finding housing placement and obtaining visas (if applicable).
The tuition for one weeklong (2.0 credit) course is $2000. Participants registering for more than one course will receive the following discounted tuition:
