The Duke Population Research Institute (DuPRI), founded in academic year 2005-2006, is an interdisciplinary research organization bringing together researchers, from the economic, biological, mathematical, statistical, social, psychological, and policy sciences at Duke. 

The mission of DuPRI is to give Duke an internationally-recognized world-class asset in the field of population research. The Institute seeks to enhance Duke’s reputation in the area of demography and population science as well as expand the current boundaries of demographic investigation.
