Hart
is a managing director at Pagemill Partners, an investment bank focused on
mergers and acquisitions. Prior to joining Pagemill, he was CEO of emerging-growth
companies in a broad range of industries, including software, direct marketing,
mechanical service, distribution, and hospitality. He has managed companies
through multiple financings, mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, and restructurings.
He works with clients in the storage, communications, Internet, defense and
software industries. Just before joining Pagemill, Hart was president and CEO
of Tukaroo, Inc., a desktop search software company that was sold to Ask Jeeves
in 2004. Hart began
his career in the investment banking industry at Dillon Read & Co. in the
Merger & Acquisition group. Hart is a member of the Young Entrepreneurs’ Organization,
where he previously held the position of international president. He serves
on the advisory boards of Irise, Accept Software, Sleepquest and is a trustee
of the Montalvo Arts Center and the Boys & Girls Club of America. Hart
holds a bachelor’s degree in economics and public policy from Duke University.
