Justin E. Fairfax (AB '00), Associate, Litigation/Controversy, Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr, Washington, DC

Fairfax is an associate in the litigation department at WilmerHale. His practice focuses primarily on general commercial civil litigation. Before joining WilmerHale in 2006, Fairfax clerked for the Honorable Gerald Bruce Lee of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia and was a personal assistant to vice presidential candidate John Edwards during the Kerry/Edwards presidential campaign in 2004. He was a legislative correspondent in the office of Senator Edwards in 2000-02. He also served as a briefing coordinator for Tipper Gore at the Gore/Lieberman Presidential Campaign Headquarters in Nashville, Tennessee.

Fairfax earned an AB from Duke, where he majored in public policy studies and French, and was selected as the class graduation speaker at the Terry Sanford Institute of Public Policy. He earned his JD in 2005 from the Columbia Law School, where he was a member of the Columbia Law Review. Fairfax was a member of the Duke University Board of Trustees from 2000-03. He is married to Cerina W. Fairfax, DDS (T '99). They live in northern Virginia, where they own a dental practice.
